For sale is a completely restored and serviced Dynacord MV120 full tube amplifier. The MV120 was released in the late fifties as a mixing/broadcasting amp to be used in ballrooms, cantines, cafe's, congress, stadiums. It is a 120-160 Watt amp (4 x EL34) with a frequency range of 20Hz-20kHz. It has 6 channels. The first three channels are for Instruments (HiZ) or mics (LowZ), then a HiZ channel for mic or tape recorder, then a sensitive one for Crystal elements for pickup or mic, and the last one is a radio channel. All channels have a separate HPF and LPF, and the total mix can be controlled with a master volume pot. All inputs are DIN but for one instrument input I installed a jack. The speaker outputs are 8, 16 Ohm, and 100V. This amp can be used in a studio or live setting for bass, guitar, keys, vocals, etc etc. or in a man cave:))!
The metal sides, the bottom plate and top grill enclosure were airbrushed in its original hammerite blue and gold colours. Rubber feet were installed.
All tubes (1 x EZ81, 2 x GZ34, 1 x ECF83, 3 x EF86, 1 x ECC81, 1 x ECC83, 4 x matched EL34) are NOS from Philips, Telefunken, Valvo. The EM84 magic eye is a used one. Only the market value of the tubes is around € 450,-.
This is a very powerful powerfull and incredible sounding amp which can be used for many different instruments and purposes. Additional modifications (f.e. preamp out) can be done at extra costs.
The MV120 was completely serviced (see photos):
- All five big cup elco's are replaced by HQ ones from FJZ.
- All electrolytic capacitors are replaced by HQ ones from Vishay and Panasonic.
- All film caps are replaced by HQ ones from Kemet and Vishay.
- Out of specs resistors were replaced.
- All pots and switches were serviced.
- Soldering joints reworked.
- Fuse holders replaced by original ones. New fuses.
- New power chassis inlet. New power cable included.
- 110-240V. For North American customers the Voltage will be adjusted and new power cable included.
- Jack to banana cable for speaker out and an extra DIN to female jack adapter cable will be included.
